Certainly I think there is some problem in Eudora contacting the popserver to receive mail. That doesn't appear to be obvious. If I'm understanding what you're saying correctly, Eudora isn't even getting to the point of trying to contact the pop server. Sorry, I did not make this aspect clear enough.
